Please Join Us in SUPPORT of Banning Assault Weapons in Maryland!

Senate Bill 43, the the "Assault Weapon Ban of 2007," a bill sponsored by Senator Mike Lenett, would prohibit assault weapons in Maryland -- an important step forward after the expiration of the federal assault weapons ban in 2004. A recent study by CeaseFire Maryland found an assault weapon traced to crime every 48 hours in Maryland.

Please join CeaseFire Maryland, law enforcement, and other concerned citizens in voicing your support for this critical piece of legislation.

Call or email members of the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee and urge them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 43 to keep these deadly weapons off Maryland streets.
